Postpartum is a time when women experience physical and emotional changes after giving birth, such as fatigue, soreness, bleeding, mood swings, anxiety, and depression. It's crucial period of adjustment for new mothers to adjust to their newborn's needs while taking care of their own well-being. Unfortunately, existing healthcare systems often lack the necessary support and resources for postpartum care, leaving many women feeling overwhelmed and alone.
1. Engage in self-care, which is important for well-being and oftentimes not prioritized.
2. Help with time management while also being flexible because parents are very busy.
3. Enhance support network of postpartum parents (including family members, dads, and community members)
For the Low-Fidelity prototype we individually produced hand-drawn mockups that we believe fulfilled the requirements. We took these into account along with the content of our interviews to make the app as user friendly to its stakeholders as possible.
Challenge we have:
Working under intense time constraints while also ensuring our designs and ideas had enough research and synthesis to back it up. Deciding which deliverables to prioritize in order to create the most informed solution possible.
1. Enhanced Iterations. During the wireframe phase, I made several changes and completed three iterations for the high-fidelity prototype. Given more time, I would increase the iterations to better cater to user needs.
2. Diversified Data Collection. My research was limited to Zoom interviews and timing. To gain insights from varied cultural backgrounds, I'd expand data collection methods in the future, ensuring the credibility of my sources.
3. Prototype Refinement. I aim to enhance the design aesthetics, ensure consistency throughout the app, and place emphasis on brand design.
